Jonah Reading Challenge for Young People Week Three
Here are the resources for the third week of the young persons summer reading challenge.
Some questions to think about
How many days did it take to walk through Nineveh?
What did God tell Jonah to say to the people of Nineveh?
What did the King tell the people of Nineveh to do?
Why did God decide not to destroy Nineveh? (Verse 8 and 9 are a clue!)
Jonah finally got to Nineveh and gave the people the message from God. How would you describe God to other people? Try and think of 6 words you would use to tell others about him.
Have a think about this verse from the Bible if you need some ideas:
‘True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.’ 1 John 4 verse 10
Time to pray
It's not always easy to tell others about God and how much he loves us. Ask God to help you share His Good News with your friends and family. Do you know someone who needs to know God loves them? Pray for them now
Lord Jesus, thank you that you love and care for everyone. Thank you that you love me just the way I am. Help me to be happy to tell my friends and family about how much you love you have for us. In particular, help me to share the Good news of your love with Amen
